PROGRAMS:

The Sullivan Free Library offers a variety of programs throughout the year for adults and children. Please check our Calendar for upcoming events and call us for further details.

ADULT PROGRAMS:

Book discussion groups meet at both libraries. Bridgeport and Chittenango host groups which read popular fiction and Chittenango also hosts a group which reads more classic selections. Check here for our upcoming selections.

Adults (18+) can meet to play Scrabble® at the library. Bridgeport players meet on Mondays at 6pm and  Fridays at 2:30pm. Contact the staff at Bridgeport (633-2253) for details. Chittenango players meet generally on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm and the second Sunday at 1pm when the library is open on Sundays. Players are welcome to bring drinks and snacks for themselves or to share with the group. No children, please, as they can disrupt the players' concentration.

Special topics, such as genealogy, estate planning, author talks, local history and art shows are held in each library. Please check our calendar for upcoming programs.

The library also hosts a summer reading program for adults. Please contact the staff at Bridgeport (633-2253) or Chittenango (687-6331) for further information.

On Tuesdays at 10:30am, there is a Lapsit program for children birth-2  in Chittenango. We also schedule frequent special craft nights and other programs through out the year. Please check our calendar for our childrens' events. A Summer Reading Program for children and special activities geared to specific age groups are held in July and August. Please contact Mrs. Adams at Bridgeport (633-2253) or Miss Marie at Chittenango (687-6331) for further information. We also host a Summer Reading Program for adults! Contact either library for details.

PLEASE REMEMBER: Children under 10 MUST be under the direct supervision of the adult responsible for their care while they are in the library.
